The Miss Kamloops Ambassador Program provides training and guidance to young women to further develop through a variety of classes and activities. Some of these classes include:

• Auto Mechanics
• Ballroom Dance
• City Affairs
• Etiquette
• Financial Planning
• Fitness
• Knowledge and History of Kamloops
• Modeling
• Self-awareness
• Self-defense
• Toastmasters

To participate in the Program, candidates must be attending school and be between the ages of 16 and 18. Candidates are solely responsible for getting their own sponsor who will support them through their candidacy.

Over the course of six months, candidates participate in several community events and are judged on a fashion show presentation, a prepared speech, knowledge of Kamloops, and a talent of their choice. Culminating with a final judged interview and the annual pageant in July, new royalty is chosen by a panel of judges and reign for the period of one year.
